Central Wisconsin SHRM - Meeting Information
The Greater Wausau Competitive Edge
Greater Wausau Prosperity Partnership recently partnered with Central Wisconsin SHRM on an interactive forum on empowering local employers to attract and retain skilled workers from both inside and outside the state. The session included details on the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation’s Talent Recruitment Grant opportunity, a program designed to empower communities to apply for up to $500,000 to develop a talent recruitment program to incentivize out-of-state talent to relocate to Wisconsin municipalities. The session provided an opportunity to hear from local employers on what our community needs to do to position the region as a premier destination for out of state candidates, while addressing barriers of relocation. The information included in this Talent Update (attached) communication is intended to be responsive to the feedback from the forum, while highlighting resources to support local employers with their talent attraction, recruitment, and retention strategies.
