Biography:
Daisy Dowling is the Founder and CEO of Workparent, the leading provider of coaching and professional development services for working parents and the organizations that employ them. She is also the author Workparent: The Complete Guide to Succeeding on the Job, Staying True to Yourself, and Raising Happy Kids (Harvard Business Review Press, 2021). Daisy’s mission is to empower and equip working mothers and fathers to lead successful, satisfying and sustainable lives. Workparent’s clients include diverse organizations such as KKR, Paul Weiss, Morgan Stanley, Dow Jones, Disney, Pfizer, Omnicom, Chevron, Allbirds, the NBA, Cornell University, National Health of Scotland and the United States Air Force, and Daisy has advised, taught and coached clients in the United States, Europe, Latin America, and Asia. Daisy brings a uniquely pragmatic and supportive approach to her work with both individual and institutional partners. Before founding Workparent in 2016, Daisy served as Managing Director and Global Head of Talent Development for Blackstone, the world’s largest alternative asset management firm; Principal of Kiddy & Partners, a global leadership development and business-psychology advisor; and Vice President of the Pine Street senior leadership development team at Goldman Sachs, amongst other roles. In addition to her coaching and consulting work, Daisy publishes extensively on career and work/life topics. To date, she is the author of 16 articles in Harvard Business Review magazine and serves as Series Editor for HBR’s Working Parent Collection of books. In addition, she has written for the New York Times, Washington Post, Journal of Applied Corporate Finance, Fast Company and Elle magazine. She and her work have also been featured in the Financial Times, the Sunday Times (UK), the Wall Street Journal, the LA Times, Bloomberg BusinessWeek as well as on NPR and CNN.com. She earned her B.A. from Brown University and M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. A proud working parent herself, Daisy lives in New York City with her (working-dad) husband and two young children.
